Working with our customers, we are leading the way in the delivery of patient centred, connected, digitally enabled health and care services. Our customers and partners are using our solutions in all health and care settings, from GP surgeries and community care to high street pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, not for profit organisations and specialist services. We’re looking for someone passionate and knowledgeable to help us refine and deliver our ESG agenda and drive positive, lasting impactful change in our business. At EMIS we want to lead the way in this area and we need someone to own the charge.

This is a new role, reflecting the increasing focus and importance of ESG related topics. You will be responsible for coordinating our Group’s ESG strategy, delivery plan, reporting and disclosure and a critical advisor to our Group Executive Team.

What you’ll do

As Sustainability Manager your key duties will include:

  • Recommending strategies and commitments that support our ESG objectives and will enable us to implement demonstrable change and continuous improvement year on year.
  • Lead a cultural shift by collaborating effectively with all areas of our business, increasing the understanding of ESG relates topics and targets and what part people play in helping us achieve our goals. We want everyone to think about ESG in everything they do.
  • Own and manage the overall programme of work by ensuring projects and activities are clearly assigned to the right people, managed, tracked and delivered on time.
  • Create high quality content to be used internally and externally for awareness, training and formal reporting. This includes preparing our mandatory and voluntary sustainability disclosures for inclusion in our Group’s formal Annual Report and Accounts, Sustainability Report, website disclosures and investor presentations.
  • Stay on top of the issues, trends, statutory and non-statutory requirements so that we always do what we need to do and more. This will include advising on guidelines from SASB, GRI and TCFD etc.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the Group has appropriate internal and external compliance initiatives and messaging in place (e.g. TCFD, modern slavery statement and gender pay gap)
