Software Delivery Manager working remotely as part of the EMIS technology department.

Responsible for providing essential technology to 10,000 healthcare organisations across all major UK health sectors, we are looking for a Software Delivery Manager to join our innovative our Release and Software Delivery team to oversee and facilitate the development of software updates for our products supporting Acute products, (Camis, Symphony & Order Comms).

What you’ll do 

As Software Delivery Manager you’ll work with a range of teams including product, solutions delivery, quality assurance and our development teams both in the UK & Chennai to ensure high quality product delivery with every software release/update, this will involve;

  • Providing support towards the successful delivery of both planned and urgent releases across the software development department
  • Continually assessing, reviewing and improving processes so our customers receive the best possible service from our products
  • Facilitating regular sessions or stand-up’s to track progress of planned and urgent releases, escalating showstoppers/delays and facilitating decision making to get these resolved promptly
  • Supporting & collaborating with various teams on the release sign off process such as clinical safety, security & information governance
  • Working with both Solution Delivery and Release Management to ensure release dates are aligned and relevant documentation produced for customers and users


Who you’ll be 

We want to make sure you’re set for success so the key skills we’re looking for in the role are below. We know not everyone ticks all the boxes and we’ll provide training on some of the areas if you’re the right person for the role. 

  • A self-motivator with energy and drive for continuous improvement and a focus on delivering results
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate confidently to a wide range of stakeholder groups
  • A problem solver with the ability to work in a team environment with good influencing skills
  • Adaptable and able to work outside rigid frameworks and processes
  • Experience working in an agile environment would be highly beneficial along with knowledge of ITIL
  • Either previous Software Delivery experience or transferable skills such as Project Management, Release Coordinator/Manager, Service Delivery and/or knowledge of the Software Lifecycle.
