Here at EMIS, we are looking for a talented and customer focused Data Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis.

If you are someone that loves data, technology, and people then this is the perfect role for you. You will be solving data engineering problems to allow healthcare personnel; NHS organisations and research organisations access the analytical power of our EMIS-X Analytics platform.

You will collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure that data challenges are being solved, as well as ensuring analytics is successfully running on the platform. Writing complex SQL queries and using technologies including, Trino and SQL Server to extract and analyse data. Working closely with our Data Engineers to improve our software, creating a better user experience for our customers.

Day to day your responsibilities and accountabilities will include;

  • Collate and analyse large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract and transform data for analysis and reporting.
  • Work with peers and wider tech team to optimise data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Support the team in achieving product delivery goals.

 

Who you’ll be

A Data Analyst with proven experience of SQL, SQL Server and/or MySQL.

As this role is customer facing, you must be able to build trusted and credible relationships to ensure an unrivalled customer journey.

You will be able to work as part of a team, but also independently and be self-motivated especially as we operate in a primarily remote environment.

 

Technical skills we are looking for you to demonstrate include;

  • Experience with data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • Any exposure to cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) would be useful.
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies e.g. Trino or Hadoop is beneficial.
  • Quality driven and excellent attention to detail
  • Focused on self-development and improving your tech skills.
